About Me

I bring over a decade of experience in project design, visualization, geospatial modeling, and BIM coordination for projects across the U.S. and internationally. My work centers on building community resilience and advancing design justice primarily with communities of color. As a designer at Gensler Los Angeles, I have had the privilege of working on transformative community projects including,

being the lead designer on Tides Loads of Hope– a project to create the first permanent Loads of Hope laundry room for people experiencing homelessness; Compton College student housing – one of the first solutions for campus housing at a community college in Southern California; and the award-winning Debbie Allen Dance Academy, to name a few.

Most recently, I served as the lead designer for Gallery 90220– a first-of-its-kind art gallery for Black and Brown creatives in South Los Angeles. Through these efforts, I’ve had the great honor of being recognized as a Culture Champion on the inaugural, Forbes the Culture 50 Champions List.

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, my design sensibility, and teaching philosophy are rooted in my lived experiences growing up in an urban center, my 20 plus years of experience serving in grassroots organizations, and surprisingly, the years spent at the ballet barre as a trained dancer! These experiences drive my commitment to supporting the next generation of designers through mentorship and teaching.

I previously worked as a lecturer at UCLA’s IDEAS campus, and currently serve as a mentor and critic at Hampton University, an HBCU.
